Starting a Small Business in 2011

Timing in life is everything....Are you ready to start a small business and be a business owner for the year 2011?  It's an exciting time to begin a new future.

Maybe you were not ready to begin a small business several months ago but things have changed in your life and you are reconsidering it now.

It’s been an amazing journey from ‘employee’ to ‘entrepreneur’ for me.  Consider the phrase that nobody likes, “Everything happens for a reason.”  At times we have all experienced occurrences in life that were bad, unfair and out of our control.

 “What did I do to deserve this” or “Why did this happen to me,” you ask.  It’s hard to believe it could be a blessing in disguise, isn’t it? 

But it can be.

McDowell OB/GYN & Sugar Hill Primary Care Blue-Ribbon-Cutting Celebration

The McDowell OB/GYN & Sugar Hill Primary Care had a ribbon-cutting ceremony recently to celebrate the new building built to accommodate the growing need for primary care in McDowell County.

The event was celebrated with speeches, introductions, tours, and horde ours.   Even Santa came, bringing his trustworthy elf!

Mayor Steve Little, CEO & President Edward Hannon, Rod Birdsong, Director of McDowell County Chamber of Commerce, many McDowell Hospital staff and friends were in attendance of the ceremony!

Physicians Dr. Neal Ginn, Dr. Andrea Moore, Dr. Paul Midkiff, and Dr. Leslie Smith will be practicing medicine at this new facility.

This 9,000-square-foot medical building is located at 1633 Sugar Hill Road, Marion, NC.

“No Excuses Summit” was another special 2010 Event which included Interviewing Jonathan Budd - by Doris Hullett.

Jonathan Budd created buzz this summer with his ‘Product Launch Formula Process’.  He had created a methodology which he basically spoke of as, “Principles of Selling Stuff.”  A casual way to explain a very successful product by Mr. Budd.

Jonathan expounded that it was the essence of good sales business.
