If you are an employee or entrepreneur, you may want to blog but don’t feel comfortable yet with the whole idea of blogging.  Did you know 60% of the people don’t have a blog but have thought about it?  And the other 40% are still having problems!

It can be overwhelming if you want to use blogging as a method to build an online business, and there is a learning curve with SEO (titles, anchors, links), writing content (using videos, understanding comments), or blogging to build your list.

Here are a couple of myths about blogging and my answer to the myths:

1.      Need to be an expert – It’s hard to be an expert if you’re still learning, right?
2.      Need more credibility – How creditable is creditable enough?
3.      Have to write well – Technology has come a long way to help you
4.      Need a lot of technical ability – You can learn, without having to know everything!
5.      Must know internet marketing – Everybody starts out as a beginner! You’re not alone.

Crucial Problems to blogging are as follows:
  • No Time
  • No leads or traffic
  • Talking to unqualified prospects
  • Don’t have credibility
  • Technically challenged
  • Missing a coach or mentor

There may be a solution to your problem!

l.  What are some steps to setting up a blog?
-         Go to wordpress.org, elance,  or odesk
-         Create akiller giveaway
-         Create value
-         Brand yourself

2.  Next you need to Create Content –
If you don’t know what to write about, study some topics, or blog about things you learn through the library, life experience, webinars, or hire a virtual assistant.

3.  After that the next step is to drive traffic to blog –
-         Backlinks & Bookmarks
-         SEO
-         Social Media, such as Facebook, Twitter or Linkedin.

4.  And finally, receive a pay check
-         You have to put energy into this
-         Money is a magnifier; it magnifies who you are already, and more of who you are
-         Quit Your Day job? That’s a possibility
-         Would you like to Travel? Where to?
-         Spend more time with your family.  How nice would that be?

Blogging works for any niche, and is a great match for any MLM.

  1. Good article. I enjoy writing in my blog but, as you stated, time is always an issue. It's a great communication tool though. I put my projects on it and I also answer clients questions on the blog. I don't really have the knack for driving traffic to the blog though.
